Navigating Through the Industry
Everyday I’m trying to figure out how to make things work. Everyday I’m meeting new people, and it’s weird because I sometimes find myself questioning how I know so many people in the industry and yet I’m not where I need to be in at. It’s like people are standing around that the ocean watching me drown to later congratulate me and tell me how proud they are of me when I swim to shore. As true as that is and as sick as that sounds, I’m kinda into it. I really don’t know how all these pieces is going to come together. It seems like pieces are more so falling apart or coming up short. People have been disappearing, producers have been disappearing, engineers haven’t been showing up, a lot people not keeping their word. I’m not complaining because I know that’s how many go about hardships in their own personal lives. I can’t front like it don’t hurt and I can’t front like I know how it’s all going to come together but stopping because someone else stopped, not showing up cause someone else didn’t, isn’t going to be my story. Whether you realize it or not each day we are writing our life story. #OnTheRoadToEightGrammys
